Overview & Highlights

Nestled in the charming district of Berlin-Wilmersdorf, Buschbeck's Restaurant offers a delightful journey into refined German cuisine, artfully reimagined with subtle international influences. This intimate dining spot at Trendelenburgstraße 14 is a beloved gem where traditional flavors meet thoughtful innovation, curated by a passionate husband-and-wife team who bring warmth and authenticity to every guest experience.

At Buschbeck's, each dish is a carefully crafted masterpiece that highlights the finest quality ingredients with exquisite technique. The menu presents a tantalizing selection that will satisfy both lovers of classic German fare and those eager for something more adventurous. Highlights include the Thüringer Duroc Schweinerückensteak vom Grill, a succulent grilled pork loin bursting with smoky, rich notes; and the Pasta mit gegrillten Black Tiger Garnelen, where tender shrimp mingle with saffron and white wine aromas, creating a dish that’s both luxurious and comforting.

The Französische Barbarieentenbrust vom Grill—grilled French Barbarie duck breast—is often lauded as the best duck breast many diners have ever tasted, its crisped skin yielding to tender, flavorful meat that melts in your mouth. Complementing these mains is a vibrant Salatvariation mit gegrilltem Lachsfilet, which balances freshness with hearty grilled fish. For something heartier, the Thüringer Duroc Schweinsbäckchen aus dem Ofen—oven-braised pig cheeks—are tender and lovingly slow-cooked, embodying a rich depth of flavor that lingers long after your last bite.

Dining at Buschbeck's is an experience defined by intimacy and sincere hospitality. The cozy, unpretentious setting encourages relaxation, whether you choose a sunny table on a quiet street or the inviting indoor seating beside a large window. The attentive service, often noted for being extremely warm and multilingual, adds to this feeling of a well-kept secret among locals and discerning travelers alike. One guest fondly described it as an "oasis in Berlin," ideal for those seeking both quality and a welcoming atmosphere.

What truly sets Buschbeck's apart is its balance of authenticity and creativity. It’s not your typical German restaurant—the dishes often surprise and delight with subtle twists while maintaining a respect for tradition. The affordable selection of wines and local beers like Paulaner further enhance the meal without overshadowing the cuisine.

Whether you are a foodie eager to discover hidden culinary gems or simply someone who appreciates honest, heartfelt cooking paired with genuine hospitality, Buschbeck's Restaurant provides a memorable experience. As echoed by patrons like Edward Lee and Mia Brown, each visit promises fantastic food, a friendly vibe, and the kind of care that turns a simple dinner into a treasured occasion in Berlin.

Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, to ensure you secure a place in this cozy haven of German gastronomy.

Fantastic food! Went as a party of three splitting 3 entrees. we got the duck, the pawn pasta and herring. they were all delicious. Would highly recommend!

Great food and cute little place but a little too quiet for our liking. We went on a Friday evening and were the only ones in there the whole time. The lady was very attentive and her husband was a great chef. Best duck breast we've ever had... albeit not your classic German cuisine. The wine was really quite cheap, we had a bottle of white for 16€ I think. Whole meal came to less than 100€ with the tip and we had starter, mains and wine (no desert). The home made bread and dip was lovely to start, as was the spring roll starter and the mains. Would just be nice if there were a couple more people in there, but maybe we just went on an unusually quiet day.

Oasis in Berlin – As we walked around the area, we accidentally discovered this restaurant, and it turned out to be a great decision. Our mixed group of international visitors truly appreciated the experience. We were served delicious meals by a very warm-hearted, multilingual lady. The ambience inside was inviting, but owing to the nice weather, we decided to sit outside. The traditional German menu offered several interesting options, which made me reflect on the trade-offs. I’ll definitely bookmark this restaurant for future visits to the city.

This was the best restaurant we visited during our time in Munich! Mario was an excellent waiter who helped us with making our food and drinks selection. He even let me try the wine before I ordered a full glass. Paulaner beer was great too here. The food is very well made, and it has a great combination of flI recommend making a reservation ahead of

We really enjoyed this place. Run by a warm husband-and-wife team, it feels like a hidden gem—welcoming, authentic, and off the beaten path. The ingredients are top quality, carefully chosen, and cooked with real skill. We especially loved the herring (delicate and unlike anything I’ve had before), the tender pig cheeks, and the fresh beetroot salad. Sitting at a sunny table on a quiet street made the atmosphere even more special—perfect for people-watching in summer. Highly recommend for a unique and genuine experience.

This is a charming restaurant with a wonderful home-spun atmosphere. I have to confess that I did not eat there but I was with a party of five all of whom ate, and they praised the food to the rafters. The woman in charge, who I think may have been the owner, was kind, considerate and friendly. She had even written out, by hand, all the menues. This is a kind of neighbourhood restaurant that deserves to thrive, not just survive, so if you are in the area, or even just in Berlin, please go.

Found this place by chance after we stayed nearby- absolutely loved it!! Amazing food, perfectly cooked, best meal we'd had in a long time. Really friendly host and lots of fun. Definitely recommend!

The uber pulled up to the restaurant and I admit my first impression wasn’t great. I think I was expecting something a bit grander. So much for first impressions. The owner/manager was just fantastic so attentive so polite and welcoming. She was just fantastic. She sat us inside by the window which was the best table inside , we are a family of 2 adults, 2 kids. It’s true there wasn’t anybody else inside but to be frank after a long hot day of sightseeing it just made it more chill. The food was brilliant, my 12 year old who barely touches food ate all 3 courses, I can’t remember a time this ever happened. The spring rolls were great, as were the sheep cheese and olives. We all had a different main course and every one of us ate it all up. The salmon fillet and mash was particularly good as was the schnitzel. Really the service and food was just spot on she changed menu items to fit my kids palettes. She never kept us waiting, we all had a lovely evening. I would recommend this to all my friends back home and would return
